What areas do you serve?

How long does it take to build a new deck?
Most standard decks take 2–5 days to complete once materials are on-site and permits are in hand. Larger or more complex builds — multi-level decks, pergolas, custom railings — can take 1–2 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your free estimate.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. We manage the permitting process so you don't have to. Most deck builds and structural fencing projects require a permit, and we handle the paperwork and inspections from start to finish.
What's the difference between composite and wood decking?
Wood decking (like pressure-treated pine or cedar) costs less upfront but requires regular maintenance — staining, sealing, and eventual board replacement. Composite decking costs more initially but is virtually maintenance-free, resists rot and fading, and typically carries a 25–30 year warranty. We'll help you weigh the tradeoffs for your specific situation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Murphy Contracting is fully licensed and carries general liability insurance. We're happy to provide proof of insurance before any work begins. Your property and peace of mind are protected.
Do you offer any warranty on your work?
We stand behind our craftsmanship. In addition to any manufacturer warranties on materials, we warranty our labor. If something isn't right after we've finished, we'll come back and make it right — no runaround.
